Detailing Level
Due to other commitments this week I was not able to do as much but still was able to put some more detail into the level that I am creating as making sure that the level is interesting to explore . This includes trees, benches and street lights. This was pretty easy to do and all it took was time to implement. As a note the trees are an asset that I found online on Itch.io
Fog
As I wanted to focus on atmosphere, fog is a massive player in getting the atmosphere and feel that I wanted for the game. Now fog is not to difficult to add into unity as there is already a built in tool that I can use, all you need to do is turn it on and you are able to change the values of the fog to you're liking. The main problem is getting the fog and the environment to blend together so that distant object are not highlighted. This is to do with the skybox, when the skybox is a different color or shade to the fog there is always a clear out line on objects that split the fog and the skybox. This is also quite easy to fix and to do this is to match the color of the fog and the skybox together so that they blend seamlessly.
